Eligiblity
– Admission is for Class VIII (8) only at Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun
– Candidate must be an Indian citizen
– Age limit:
- Minimum age: 11½ years
- Maximum age: 13 years
- Age is calculated as per the cut-off date mentioned in the official notification
– Educational qualification: Candidate must be studying in Class VII or have passed Class VII from a recognised school at the time of admission
– Gender: Both boys and girls are eligible to apply
– Medical fitness: Candidate must be medically fit as per RIMC and defence medical standards
Age Criteria
- Minimum age: 11½ years old on the cut-off date.
- Maximum age: 13 years old on the cut-off date.
- The cut-off date is usually either January 1 or July 1 of the year of admission (check the current notification for exact date). For example (July 2026 term), eligible candidates should be born between 02 July 2013 and 01 January 2015.

Stage 2 RIMC Entrance Exam: Written Examination
The written exam consists of three papers, conducted on the same day.
