IMU-CET Coaching in Dehradun
The candidates who are interested in joining the Indian Merchant Navy must pass the IMU-CET (Common Entrance Test) examination. The entrance exam in conducted by Indian Maritime University (IMU) each year for admissions in various programmes offered by IMU campuses and its affiliated institutes.
IMU-CET Exam Pattern
IMU-CET exam is conducted online. The question paper will have 6 sections and comprises a total of 200 questions. Aspirants will have to attempt these questions in 3 hours (180 minutes). The questions will be of multiple choice type.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Deck Cadet
Educational Qualification: Passed or appearing in 10+2 examination from a recognized Board/ University with Physics, Chemistry and Maths (PCM) as a subject of choice, with a minimum of 60% marks.
OR
with Physics as the only subject in one of the years of B.Sc. in PCM or Electronics with an average of not less than 50% marks from a UGC/DEC recognized university.
OR
B.E./ B.Tech. Degree from a college recognized by AICTE.
AND
Should have passed with not less than 50% marks in English as a separate subject at either 10th or 12th standard.
Age Limit: Up to 25 Years.
Others: Eyesight should be 6/6 with no colour blindness or any eye defect.
2. B.S. Nautical Technology
Educational Qualification: Passed or appearing in 10+2 examination from a recognized Board/ University with Physics, Chemistry and Maths (PCM) as a subject of choice, with a minimum of 60% marks.
AND
Passed with 50% marks in English as a separate subject at either 10th or 12th standard.
Age Limit: Up to 25 Years.
Others: Eyesight should be 6/6 with no colour blindness or any eye defect.
3. Marine Engineering (TME)
Educational Qualification: Passed or appearing in 10+2 examination from a recognized Board or University with Physics, Chemistry and Maths (PCM)as a subject of choice, with a minimum of 60% marks.
AND
Passed with 50% marks in English as a separate subject at either 10th or 12th standard.
Age Limit: Up to 25 Years.
Others: Use of corrective lenses is permitted but the maximum permissible limits at entry are +- 2.5 with no colour blindness.
