Indian army has started the online registration for the NCC 49 special entry scheme from 30 Dec 2020 till 28 Jan 2021. Candidates with NCC C certificate can apply for the NCC 49 course which is going to commence at OTA Chennai in April 2021. Defense aspirants with NCC “C” Certificate can apply for the latest NCC C Certificate Special Entry to join the Indian Army as an officer.
Applications are invited from unmarried male and unmarried female (including Wards of Battle Casualties of Army Personnel), for grant of Short Service Commission in the Indian Army.
Eligibility criteria :
1)Nationality: –
It is mandatory for the candidate to be a citizen of India.
Candidates who are residing in Bhutan, Nepal, or Tibet. But if they are indigenous to India, then those candidates can also fill this application form.
Candidates of Indian origin who are residing in countries like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Verma, Malaviya, Vietnam, United Nations Tanzania, etc. They can apply for NCC Entry by getting the residence certificate issued by the Government of India.

2)Academic qualification for NCC special entry course 49th: –
For NCC certificate C holders : –
The candidate should have a degree from a recognized university. It is mandatory to have minimum of 50% marks in all year’s mark sheets.
Candidates who are studying in the final year. They can also fill this application form. But they should have minimum of 50% marks in their first 2/3 years (according to the duration of the course).
Candidates who have obtained a Bachelor’s degree. He has to send his certificate and copy of mark sheet to the provisional or degree certificate of director-general of recruitment by 1 April 2021.
Candidates who are currently studying in the final year of graduation. They have to send the certificate of passing the bachelor’s degree by 1 April 2021 to the nearby Directorate General of Recruitment.
Candidates should have experience of serving in the NCC Senior Division for at least 2 academic years.
Age Limit
For NCC candidates (including wards of Battle Casualties) 19 to 25 years as of 01 Jan 2021 (born not earlier than 02 Jan 1996 and not later than 01 Jan 2002, both dates inclusive).
Candidates should note that the date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary School Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate on the date of submission of applications will only be accepted and no subsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.

Selection Procedure :
Shortlisting of Applications: Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) reserves the right for shortlisting of applications, without assigning any reason. After the shortlisting of applications, the Centre allotment be intimated to candidates via their email.
Only shortlisted eligible candidates will undergo SSB at Selection Centres, Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bangalore (Karnataka), and Kapurthala (PB).
Candidates will put through the two-stage selection procedure. Those who clear Stage I will go to Stage II. Those who fail in stage I will return on the same day.
Candidates recommended by the SSB declared medically fit will issued a joining letter for training in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria.
Vacancies:
NCC MEN. 50 (45 for General Category and 05 for Wards of Battle Casualties of Army personnel only).
NCC Women. 05 (04 for General Category and 01 for Wards of Battle Casualties of Army personnel only).
For Wards of Battle Casualties of Army Personnel Eligibility Criteria : The vacancies under wards of battle casualties are available to wards (unmarried sons and unmarried daughters including legally adopted) of Battle casualties specified as:-
(1) Killed in action
(2) Died of wound or injuries (Other than self-inflicted).
(3) Wounded or Injured (Other than self-inflicted).
(4) Missing
Educational Qualification :
Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all the years.
NCC ‘C’ certificate NOT required for Wards of Battle Casualties.
Details of Documents to be provided in the Application Form The ‘Battle Casualty’ certificate no. issued by Manpower (Policy & Planning) Directorate (MP Dte) certifying that the parent has been killed/wounded/reported missing in action. A copy of MP Dte / Respective Regimental Records Part II Order no. notifying injuries and being classified as ‘Battle Casualty’. Relationship Certificate No. issued by MP 5 & 6 / Respective Regimental Records.
